I was amazed at how much information could be included in a relatively short film, and how effectively the story of the island, and its heroes, is told.  The visuals and narrative are in happy harmony, and I found the segues linking various themes particularly successful.

The film is a whistle-stop tour through the history of Guernsey, featuring animation, old photographs, modern-day location shots and stunning drone footage, while a friendly, authoritative narrator links everything together concisely.

I loved the Discovering Guernsey film, after living on the island for nearly 10 years, I learned so many new interesting facts and pieces of lovely information about Guernsey which I never knew before. I think it is a must see for everyone and the way it is put together, drawing a thread between the past and the now, was a really clever way to make it engaging and at the same time entertaining.
